Narinan

Narinan is an organization based in Barcelona, Spain.
Narinan is an association dedicated to offering educational support to children between the ages of 6 and 12 who are facing vulnerabilities, along with their families. Established in 2016, Narinan operates as a non-profit organisation, providing assistance to children at risk of social or economic exclusion in schools and public facilities located in Barcelona, l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, and Castellterçol. The dedicated team at Narinan consists of volunteers, members, and donors who actively contribute to their cause. Volunteers engage directly with children in educational centres, providing academic support, while others assist with technical secretarial work, social media management, as well as administrative and logistical tasks.

Narinan organises academic reinforcement sessions and offers personalised academic support to the children. The organisation ensures that their volunteers receive training to provide effective support, addressing both academic and personal needs of the children and their families. Narinan also arranges complementary activities such as family theatre and music to promote social integration. Through their work, Narinan complements the regular education of these children by providing homework assistance and addressing challenging subjects. The organisation actively involves and empowers family members to create a positive learning experience. By doing so, Narinan aims to reduce the risk of social or economic exclusion for this vulnerable group.

At ICOES, we strongly believe in the importance of providing access to quality education, and we are proud to support initiatives like Narinan that align with our values. As a token of our support, we provide school materials for use during their support classes. We firmly believe that access to education is a fundamental right, and we are committed to playing our part in making it a reality for all.
